Many people are getting excited about the Texas Rangers. I am one of them. It is hard not to. In years past the Rangers have been out of any contention by May 1st and all of that while watching retreads like Sammy Sosa get at bats.
It was so hard around here sports wise with the Mavericks ending their playoffs early. We had the Stars two years ago make it to the finals and the year before that the Mavericks. Either way we still had a month of dead air before football season because the Rangers have struggled so badly.
Why do I ask the question then about getting excited?
1. Any team worth their salt that the Rangers have played they have struggled.
2. It has not gotten hot around here yet.
3. Injuries- Yes they have some but for the most part they have not had the injury
bug.
4. ALL STAR BREAK- I will remaine cautious until after the break. There have been
many times that the Rangers have been doing well and then they disappear after
THE BREAK!!
Please oh Baseball Jesus! Let this be a good year for the Rangers.
